Poster, 4-Panel Comics, Card News, etc. on Human Rights 'Free Theme' Open for Anyone to Enter Until the 13th of Next Month
Seodaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seongheon) is holding the '2024 Human Rights Toktok' contest to promote a culture of respect for human rights in daily life.
The categories include posters, 4-panel comics, and 4-panel card news, with the theme of "free topic" expressing the importance of human rights. Each individual can submit one entry. Only individuals can apply, and there are no restrictions on region or age. The district provided examples of themes such as Seodaemun-gu and human rights, human rights in daily life, the meaning of respecting human rights, and improving human rights awareness.
The contest period is from the 12th of this month until 6 PM on September 13th. Applicants can download the application form from the district office website (Citizen Participation → Open Plaza → Human Rights Toktok Content Contest), fill it out, and submit it along with their work file via email. The file format should be JPG or PNG. Hand-drawn images can be scanned or photographed. Winners will be required to submit the original work later.
The district will comprehensively evaluate creativity, relevance, usability, completeness, and locality to select a total of 27 winners: 1 grand prize, 2 excellence awards, 3 merit awards, 4 encouragement awards, and 17 honorable mentions. Certificates and prizes will be awarded. The grand prize is a cultural gift certificate worth 500,000 KRW, excellence awards 300,000 KRW, merit awards 100,000 KRW, encouragement awards 50,000 KRW, and honorable mentions 20,000 KRW.
Mayor Lee Seongheon said, "I hope the creative messages expressed in the submitted works will contribute to forming a human rights-friendly local community."
