Socar announced on the 12th that it will provide free vehicles to families affected by the electric car fire accident at an apartment in Cheongna, Incheon.
Socar will offer 100 vehicles from its monthly car-sharing service, Socar Plan, free of charge for one month to the affected residents.
Earlier on the 9th, Socar visited the site and completed consultations on vehicle support with the residents' representative meeting and residents. The day before, an offline briefing session was held for residents to explain the vehicle support plan and begin accepting applications. Applications will be accepted until the 15th and can also be submitted online.
Once the eligible recipients are confirmed after application, vehicles will be delivered on the 16th and 19th. The support vehicles are prepared in various types to meet demand, including ▲compact sedans ▲compact sport utility vehicles (SUVs) ▲mid-size sedans ▲mid-size SUVs. Residents receiving the vehicles only need to cover insurance fees, fuel, and Hi-Pass toll charges.
