The women's table tennis team, consisting of Shin Yubin, Lee Eunhye (both from Korean Air), and Jeon Jihi (Mirae Asset Securities), defeated Germany 3-0 in the bronze medal match of the 2024 Paris Olympics team event held on the 10th (local time) at the South Paris Arena in Paris, France, securing the bronze medal.
With this, Korean table tennis won a medal in this event for the first time in 16 years since the bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Games. Shin Yubin, who had previously won a bronze medal in mixed doubles with Lim Jonghoon (Korea Exchange), added a second bronze medal, becoming a 'multi-medalist.'
Shin Yubin became the first Korean table tennis multi-medalist in 32 years since Kim Taeksu (Vice President of the Korea Table Tennis Association), who won men's singles and doubles bronze medals at the 1922 Barcelona Games, and Hyun Junghwa (Director of Korea Racing Authority), who won third place in women's singles and doubles.
The pair of Shin Yubin and Jeon Jihi, who won gold together at the Hangzhou Asian Games, took the lead by winning the first match, and then Lee Eunhye and Jeon Jihi secured the two singles matches without dropping a set, finishing the match cleanly.

Da-bin Lee (Seoul City Hall), the flagship athlete of Korean taekwondo, lost narrowly in the women's over 67kg semifinal held at the Paris Grand Palais and moved on to the bronze medal match. In the third-place match, she defeated Lorena Brandl (Germany) with a round score of 2-1 (4-2, 5-9, 13-2) to claim the bronze medal.
Da-bin Lee, the silver medalist at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, enjoyed the joy of winning medals for two consecutive times. The taekwondo team wrapped up the competition in Paris with a total of three medals: two golds and one bronze.
Originally aiming for five gold medals, the South Korean delegation, as of 5 a.m. on the 11th (Korean time), set a new record for the most gold medals in a single competition with 13 golds, 8 silvers, and 9 bronzes, recovering the total medal count of 30 for the first time in 12 years since the 2012 London Games (31 medals).
Meanwhile, strong medal contenders such as modern pentathlon athlete Jeon Woongtae (Gwangju City Hall), high jumper Woo Sanghyeok (Yongin City Hall), and breaker Kim Hongyeol (Dobong-gu Office) did not make it to the podium.

Seo Changwan (Armed Forces Sports Unit), who also competed, finished 7th with 1520 points.
Woo Sanghyeok, who rose as a world-class jumper by finishing 4th in the men's high jump at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, failed to clear the 2.31m barrier and had to leave without the much-desired Olympic medal.
In the men's high jump final held at Stade de France in Paris, Woo Sanghyeok placed 7th with a height of 2.27m. He easily cleared 2.17m and 2.22m on his first attempts but slightly touched the bar on his first attempt at 2.27m.
