'Seouldal' Appears Over Yeouido... Flying at 130m Altitude

Official Operation from the 23rd... Boarding Fee 20,000~25,000 Won

The 'Seouldal,' which flies up to 130 meters above Yeouido Neighborhood Park, has appeared.

On the evening of the 10th, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon attended the Seouldal opening event held around Yeouido Neighborhood Park and rode the Seouldal together with citizens selected by lottery.

Mayor Oh said, "Today marks the day when another landmark of Seoul is born and the start of a key policy product for Seoul tourism," adding, "The view of Seoul from 130 meters high will be so beautiful that it cannot be compared to any other city."

He continued, "We expect Seouldal to play a significant role in achieving the Seoul Tourism Vision 3377," and said, "I hope many tourists visit Seoul after enjoying the proud scenery of Seoul through Seouldal and spreading the word."

Seouldal is a gas balloon that uses the buoyancy of helium gas to fly vertically like a hot air balloon and has an appearance resembling a full moon. Official operation will begin on the 23rd, with fares set at 25,000 KRW for adults (ages 19?64) and 20,000 KRW for children (36 months?18 years).

The Seoul Metropolitan Government explained that unlike hot air balloons, Seouldal uses non-flammable gas, making it superior in terms of safety, and that the balloon body is connected to the ground by cables, reducing the risk of drifting outside the designated flight area.
