Yang Hee-young Tied 11th in Women's Golf 3rd Round... 4 Strokes Behind Tied 3rd [Paris Olympics]

Yang Hee-young finished tied for 11th place in the women's golf third round at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

On the 9th (local time), Yang Hee-young shot 2-under-par 70 with 4 birdies and 2 bogeys in the third round held at Le Golf National (par 72, 6,374 yards) in Guyancourt near Paris, France.

With a total score of 3-under-par 213 after three rounds, Yang Hee-young ended the third round tied for 11th place along with Hannah Green (Australia).

She is 6 strokes behind the co-leaders, showing a slight gap. However, she is only 4 strokes behind the medal positions, tied for 3rd place at 7-under-par 209, so there is still a possibility of winning a medal on the final day. Yang Hee-young previously finished tied for 4th in her first Olympic appearance at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games.

Fellow medal contenders Ko Jin-young and Kim Hyo-joo both recorded 3-over-par 219, remaining tied for 27th place.

Korean New Zealander Lydia Ko recorded 9-under-par 207, sharing first place with Morgan Metraux (Switzerland). Rose Zhang (USA) and Miyu Yamashita (Japan) are tied for 3rd place with 7-under-par 209.

World No. 1 Nelly Korda (USA) is tied for 7th place at 4-under-par 212 along with home course player C?line Boutier (France) and Chinese players Yin Ruoning and Lin Xiyu.
