Naver Pay Unveils 'Car Insurance Comparison and Recommendation' Advertisement

Naver Pay announced on the 9th that it will launch an online and offline video advertising campaign for its 'Car Insurance Comparison and Recommendation' service. This campaign marks the first video advertisement introduced by Naver Pay to promote the service.


The campaign centers around the theme of 'Financial Comparison That Saves Money,' highlighting various advantages of the Car Insurance Comparison and Recommendation service. Launched in January, this Naver Pay service compares 10 insurance companies when renewing car insurance, helping users find the optimal premium in just one minute or calculate the estimated premium for their desired car model.

In the advertisement, actor Guseonghwan is shown transforming into a Joseon Dynasty outfit with the phrase "old-fashioned person" when he tries to renew his existing car insurance on the expiration day. When Guseonghwan calculates the insurance premium for a car model he is interested in using Naver Pay, a passerby dressed in Joseon Dynasty attire is surprised. Through this depiction, Naver Pay expresses the convenience of the Car Insurance Comparison and Recommendation service.


About 55% of users who actually used the Naver Pay Car Insurance Comparison and Recommendation service received recommendations for insurance products with lower premiums than their previous ones. There were cases where users were recommended premiums up to 72% cheaper. Since the service launch, the cumulative number of car insurance premium comparisons on Naver Pay has reached approximately 1.06 million over about six months.


To commemorate this campaign, Naver Pay is running a promotion offering up to 2,000 points in benefits. Until December 31, users who have never installed the Naver Pay application (app) and install it through the car insurance comparison and recommendation webpage or by scanning the QR code on offline advertisements will receive 1,000 points. Benefits are also provided for users who have already used the service.


Jo Yena, leader of Naver Pay’s insurance service, said, "We launched this campaign to inform that the Naver Pay Car Insurance Comparison and Recommendation service allows users to use car insurance more wisely. We will continue to introduce services that help financial consumers make rational choices through Naver Pay."
