Dong-A University Career Development Center Holds Awards for 'Career Portfolio' Competition

Grand Prize: Shin Jiwoo, Best Award: Yeom Hyewon, Seo Hyeonuk

Excellence Award: Wi Yujeong, Choi Miso, Kim Kanghee Students

The Career Development Center of the Student and Employment Support Office at Dong-A University (Director: Professor Cho Kyupan) announced on the 9th that it held the "2024 Career Portfolio Competition."

The Career Portfolio Competition is an annual program organized by the Career Development Center, based on the department (major)-specific career roadmap "EDUMAP" provided by the center. It is designed to help students systematically plan their careers through self-exploration and analysis, career exploration, and goal setting.

At the recent award ceremony, Director Cho, Professor Bang Heewon, Byun Kyungmi (Head of Career Counseling at Busan Girls' Middle School), award recipients, and students attended.

During the competition, 10 outstanding students were selected from a total of 42 applicants and participated in a presentation session.

Through on-site presentation evaluations, the grand prize was awarded to Shin Jiwoo (3rd year, Department of Korean Language and Literature). The first prize went to Seo Hyunwook (4th year, Department of Business Administration) and Yeom Hyewon (3rd year, Department of Physical Education), while the excellence award was given to Wi Yujeong (4th year, Department of Applied Biological Engineering), Choi Miso (2nd year, Department of Public Administration), and Kim Kanghee (4th year, Department of Environmental and Energy Engineering).

Shin Jiwoo, who received the grand prize, said, "While creating my portfolio, I had the opportunity to reconsider my career path and think about various possibilities. I was glad to discuss career paths with fellow students through the Career Portfolio Competition."

Director Cho stated, "The Career Portfolio Competition is held to help students find careers and jobs that suit their aptitudes and interests. I hope today's experience will lead you to a job that matches your career path. The Career Development Center will continue to strive to provide more students with the opportunity to participate in the Career Portfolio Competition."
