Priority Opening of 733m Section from Yeongokgil to Football Comprehensive Center
Cheonan City, Chungnam, has partially opened a 733-meter section of Yeongokgil to the Korea Football Center, including the roundabout on the access road to the Korea Football Comprehensive Center.
Cheonan City in Chungnam Province announced on the 8th that it has partially opened the access road to the Korea National Football Center.
The partially opened section is a 733-meter stretch from Yeongok-gil to the Football Center, including a roundabout, out of the total 3 km access road. This partial opening was implemented to improve accessibility for citizens using the community sports facilities at the Football Center, which were completed last June.
The remaining section will be fully opened next year after the completion of rock blasting work and cultural heritage investigation and excavation.
A city official stated, "We decided to partially open the road to provide convenience for citizens using the community sports facilities at the Football Center," and added, "We will also complete construction on the remaining section as soon as possible."
Meanwhile, the access road to the Korea National Football Center is a 3 km, four-lane road connecting the Yuli Intersection in Ipjang-myeon to the Football Center, with a total investment of 40 billion won.
