"Noise Control Enhances Quietness"… Partial Update Kia K8 Now Available for Order

Kia unveiled the specifications and prices of the facelifted K8 with enhanced product appeal on the 9th and officially began accepting orders.

The K8 is a product improvement model introduced three years after Kia first launched it in April 2021. It enhances design luxury and standardizes advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) appropriate for its class.

The K8’s design extends the front overhang (distance from the wheel center to the front end of the body) and rear overhang by 10mm and 25mm respectively, and applies a voluminous hood design. This is to create a sleek and dynamic new proportion.

The K8 features three selectable patterns of dynamic welcome lights and, for the first time in Hyundai Motor Group, dynamic escort lights that add pattern lighting to the headlamp escort function. The vehicle bids farewell with moving lights when the driver gets in or out.

The interior of the K8 uses new materials to enhance luxury and emphasizes a horizontal sense of space and elegant sculptural beauty. Kia applied soft-touch materials to the upper part of the crash pad within passengers’ reach and the lower side of the console where knees touch.

Additionally, Kia equipped the K8 with various driving convenience features and extensively included advanced driver assistance systems as standard. The highway body motion control reduces vertical and longitudinal vehicle movements by controlling the preview electronic suspension when the vehicle speed changes during highway driving assist or smart cruise control, enhancing driving stability.

Along with this, the K8 newly applies 'Active Road Noise Control' linked with Meridian premium sound to improve quietness. It is equipped with intelligent headlamps that partially dim the high beams according to the front situation, helping secure a stable field of vision.

Kia standardized Lane Keeping Assist 2, which improved performance by switching from the existing torque control method to a steering angle control method, and capacitive sensor-based steering wheel grip detection that senses when the driver lightly touches the steering wheel.

The K8 offers an advanced connectivity experience with the next-generation infotainment system 'ccNC (connected car Navigation Cockpit)' and over-the-air (OTA) software updates for controllers. Wireless updates keep functions linked to the vehicle’s main electronic controls up to date.

The K8 prices are as follows: ▲2.5 Gasoline Noblesse Light 37.36 million KRW, Noblesse 40.88 million KRW, Signature 45.01 million KRW, Signature Black 45.50 million KRW ▲3.5 Gasoline Noblesse Light 40.48 million KRW, Noblesse 43.75 million KRW, Signature 47.88 million KRW, Signature Black 48.37 million KRW ▲1.6 Turbo Hybrid Noblesse Light 43.72 million KRW, Noblesse 47.24 million KRW, Signature 51.37 million KRW, Signature Black 51.67 million KRW ▲3.5 LPG Prestige 37.82 million KRW, Noblesse 41.66 million KRW.

Kia plans to deliver the K8 2.5 Gasoline, 3.5 Gasoline, and 3.5 LPi models within this month, and will sequentially release the hybrid model in line with the completion of certification from relevant authorities.
