Hwahae explained that considering the rapidly changing K-beauty market situation, it has transitioned to a co-CEO system to accelerate management execution and promote growth and global expansion as Hwahae 2.0.

New CEO Kim will be in charge of overall management and global business expansion, while the existing CEO Lee Woong will oversee IR (Investor Relations), mergers and acquisitions (M&A), board operations, and external cooperation.

CEO Kim joined Birdview in 2015 and has been a key figure in successfully leading Hwahae’s performance growth since 2016. Over the past eight years, he has driven continuous growth without a single decline in sales. Having served as Head of Advertising Business Division, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), Vice President, and Chief Operating Officer (COO), he is recognized for reorganizing leadership across the organization and restructuring management systems to lead performance growth.

CEO Kim stated, “Based on my understanding of brands and the beauty value chain, as well as sales capabilities, I will drive the performance of indie brands in the global market. Furthermore, I will expand Hwahae’s influence in both domestic and international beauty markets to accelerate growth momentum.”
