Jung Ilgyun, a member of the Daegu Metropolitan Council (People Power Party, Suseong-gu 1), served as a guest teacher at Daegu Girls' High School on the afternoon of the 8th, addressing the students on site.


Councilor Jung Ilgyun communicated openly with the students and provided detailed explanations of the roles and functions of the council, using examples from his own legislative activities to help the students gain a deeper understanding.

Councilor Jung drew the students' attention by explaining Korea's political system in comparison with advanced foreign cases, making the content accessible to their level. He also introduced various systems through which residents' voices can be heard, and suggested ways for young people to contribute to their local communities as democratic citizens.


Councilor Jung stated, "At the Daegu Metropolitan Council, not only council members but also policy support staff and various other members are working hard to enhance the status of Daegu," and added, "I hope all students will continue to show interest in local autonomy and democracy."
