Tongmyong University, the Only University in Busan to Receive 'AAA' Rating for Two Consecutive Years in University Innovation Support Project Evaluation

Dongmyung University (President Jeon Ho-hwan) announced on the 8th that it has received an 'AAA' rating for the second consecutive year, being the only university in the Busan region to achieve this. The university earned an A grade in both the Ministry of Education's University Innovation Support Project for 'Educational Innovation Performance' and 'Self-Performance Management,' as well as in the annual evaluation of the Regional University Revitalization Project (Innovation Project Type 3).

Dongmyung University received high marks for its 3-No Do-ing (Do-ing) education, restructuring of academic programs in line with industry demand, transition to a Waterloo University-style Co-Op university to foster practice-oriented talent, introduction of modular curricula and a one-student-one-microdegree system, and expansion of students' options in choosing their majors.

In the Regional University Revitalization Project, the university set the Well-Life field as its specialized area, earning high evaluations for restructuring academic departments, operating flexible academic systems, expanding practical Do-ing classes, providing customized student support systems, and student recruitment.

Dongmyung University was also recently ranked 34th in the world in the leadership category of the 2024 WURI (World University Rankings for Innovation) announced in Switzerland.

The university has been selected as a preliminary designated university for the Glocal University 30 Project, which provides 100 billion KRW in support over five years, and is preparing for the final designation review by forming a Busan-style glocal consortium university.
