Affiliated companies of TMON and WEMAKEPRICE (TMEP), which faced an unsettled sales payment crisis, have begun workforce restructuring.
According to the distribution industry on the 8th, Qoo10 subsidiary Qoo10 Technology will conduct a collective voluntary resignation for those who wish on the 14th.
The company announced this restructuring plan the day before and reportedly completed a survey on resignation intentions among all employees on the same day.
If processed as a voluntary resignation, employees will receive unemployment benefits. The company explained that due to the corporate rehabilitation filings by their clients TMON and WEMAKEPRICE, they have not received service payments, leading to a severe management crisis and necessitating urgent restructuring.
As consumer payment cancellations related to Tmon and Wemakeprice, payment gateway (PG) companies for card companies, begin in earnest, refunds are expected to be processed sequentially starting as early as the 1st. On this day, a dedicated counter for victims of the delayed settlement of sales proceeds from Wemakeprice and Tmon has been set up at the Financial Support Center of the Financial Supervisory Service in Yeouido, Seoul. Besides Qoo10 Technology, Interpark Commerce will accept voluntary resignation applications from the 8th to the 11th.
Applicants will be guaranteed their August salary and supported with paid leave until the 31st of this month.
Interpark Commerce plans to carry out workforce reallocation for remaining employees who do not apply for voluntary resignation.
In this regard, Interpark Commerce notified employees on the same day about voluntary resignation applications along with internal restructuring, organizational reorganization, job changes, delayed salary payments, or installment settlements.
The current number of employees remaining at Interpark Commerce is around 200.
