Hanwoo Association Launches 'Hanwoo Ox Trotter Stew'... "Expecting Expansion of Hanwoo Consumption"

Exclusive Release at Traders Wholesale Club on the 9th

The Korea Hanwoo Association announced on the 8th that 'Hanwoo Ox Trotters Stew' will be launched nationwide through Traders Wholesale Club on the 9th.

This new product was developed in response to the request from the Hanwoo Association, a Hanwoo producers' organization, for the development of Hanwoo ox trotters cooked food. Dodram Anseong Livestock Market supported the development costs, and the processing company Dodram Purushan Food participated in the product development. Traders Wholesale Club took charge of distribution and sales as part of a collaboration to expand Hanwoo consumption.

A representative from the Hanwoo Association said, "Hanwoo Ox Trotters Stew is a menu that has gained significant attention, especially among MZ generation mukbang creators, due to its rich collagen, nutrients, and tender texture," adding, "Although it was previously a less-preferred menu because of the long cooking time and complicated process, it is now being released as meal kits and fully cooked products."

Hanwoo Ox Trotters Stew is produced after a pre-processing stage at Dodram Purushan Food’s hygienic and safe HACCP-certified manufacturing facility. A Dodram official explained, "Through a high-temperature, high-pressure process, we achieved a tender texture that melts in the mouth without any off-flavors," and added, "The special ox trotter seasoning sauce is characterized by a clean and spicy flavor."

Min Kyung-cheon, chairman of the Hanwoo Association, said, "Hanwoo ox trotters are rich in collagen protein, which can revitalize the body tired from the summer heat," and added, "It is perfect as a special meal to enjoy as a side dish at home or camping sites, or sometimes as a drinking snack, so we hope for much interest."
