Korea National Oil Corporation Signs MOU with E-Circulation Governance for Recycling of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment

Workplaces and Employees Recycle Discarded Electrical and Electronic Products... Expanding ESG Management Through Eco-friendly Practices and Carbon Neutrality Initiatives

Korea National Oil Corporation (President Kim Dongseob) and E-Sunhwan Governance (Chairman Jeong Deokgi) signed a business agreement titled "E-Waste Zero, Establishment of a Resource Circulation System" at the Ulsan headquarters on the 8th to promote the recycling of discarded electrical and electronic products.

Through this agreement, Korea National Oil Corporation will hand over discarded electrical and electronic products such as computers and refrigerators from its headquarters, nine branches, and employees' homes to E-Sunhwan Governance. The corporation also plans to promote the collection and recycling system for waste electrical and electronic products among its employees.


E-Sunhwan Governance collects electrical and electronic waste generated by companies, including public institutions, free of charge, and recycles it in an environmentally friendly manner under the management and supervision of Korea Environment Corporation.


A representative from Korea National Oil Corporation stated, "Through mutually beneficial cooperation with E-Sunhwan Governance, we have been able to establish a waste recycling system in which the corporation and its employees can directly participate, further expanding the practice of ESG management, including greenhouse gas reduction."


In addition, Korea National Oil Corporation is promoting resource recycling programs such as producing upcycled products using discarded PET bottles and recycling ice packs. The company is also making continuous efforts to contribute to carbon neutrality and practice ESG management through company-wide eco-friendly activities such as the "G9" KNOC Plogging campaign.
