Olympus Korea announced on the 8th that it will participate in the 41st World Congress of Endourology and Technology (WCET 2024), held from June 12 to 16 at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
WCET 2024 is an international academic conference hosted by the World Endourology Society. This year, it will be held in Seoul in collaboration with the Korean Society of Endourology and Robotics (KSER). Experts from around the world will gather to share new and advanced treatments for urological diseases, with a particular focus this year on minimally invasive therapies and various related discussions.
Olympus Korea will set up a dedicated exhibition booth at WCET 2024 to introduce its diverse urology portfolio, including new products scheduled for domestic release. On the 13th, a luncheon symposium titled "BPH Patient Journey" will be held to engage with medical professionals. The first speaker, Dr. Lo Ka Lun from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, will share his clinical experience with prostatectomy, followed by Dr. Silvia Seco from ASST Grande Ospedale Metropolitano Niguarda in Italy, who will share insights on the use of Olympus’s ‘iTind’ product in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
During the semi-live surgery session on the 15th, Dr. Juan Manuel Lopez Martinez from Fundacio Puigvert Hospital in Barcelona, Spain, will demonstrate kidney stone lithotripsy using Olympus’s Soltive laser system, allowing attendees to observe the clinical utility and features of the product firsthand.
Park In-je, Head of Business Division at Olympus Korea, said, "Olympus leads the market with innovative solutions in the field of urology, and we are excited to share our latest products and technologies with many people through WCET 2024."
