Hoseo University Receives 'S Grade' in University Innovation Support Project Evaluation

"We Will Achieve Innovation in Various Fields Including Education, Research, and Industry-Academia Cooperation"

Hoseo University Receives 'S Grade' in University Innovation Support Project Evaluation Hoseo University received the highest grade, "S grade," in the second-year performance evaluation of the University Innovation Support Project announced by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea.

Hoseo University announced on the 8th that it has received the highest rating, S grade, in the second-year performance evaluation of the University Innovation Support Project conducted by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea.

The University Innovation Support Project is a financial support program by the Ministry of Education that helps universities provide high-quality education and foster future talent through autonomous structural improvement. This second-year evaluation was conducted for 117 universities nationwide.

Hoseo University set its innovation goal as "a university where students grow, and education that creates student success." Based on the ICAN+ education model, the university systematically established and operated a flexible academic management strategy that breaks down barriers between departments and majors, which received high praise.

President Kang Ilgu stated, "It is now time to move away from the traditional paradigm where professors teach students, and instead, from the perspective of students as the consumers of education, we must consider how they can learn more effectively. Education should focus more on coaching rather than teaching, so that students can achieve academic outcomes on their own." He added, "To adapt well to changes in the university environment, such as the decline in the school-age population and the spread of AI technology, we plan to drive innovation in various fields including education, research, and industry-academia cooperation, based on educational innovation."
