Dong-A University Invites Students from Overseas Partner Universities to Promote K-Culture

'2024 Korean Summer Session' Held

22 Schools from 6 Countries Participate in Korean Language Classes and Cultural Experiences

Dong-A University (President Lee Haewoo) announced on the 8th that it is hosting the '2024 Korean Summer Session (KSS)' by inviting students from its overseas partner universities.


This 'Korean Summer Session' began on the 3rd and will continue until the 17th. A total of 70 participants, including 50 students from 22 overseas partner universities and 20 Dong-A University undergraduates, are taking part.


The 2024 KSS program features participation from several international universities, including the University of Hertfordshire (UK), Thompson Rivers University (Canada), Renmin University of China (China), Kansai University (Japan), Ryukoku University (Japan), and Angelo State University (USA), which have sent students to Dong-A University.


During the two-week program, the participating students will live together and engage in various activities such as Korean language classes, Korean cultural experiences, K-Heritage tours, and country-themed cultural presentations, providing opportunities for language and cultural exchange.


Paige Harris, a student from Angelo State University in the United States, shared her thoughts: "I did a lot of research about this program in Texas before joining. I am happy to have many fun experiences in Busan and to learn about Korean culture and language."


Gurjap Singh (originally from India), a student at the University of Hertfordshire in the UK, said, "I am very happy to participate in the Dong-A University KSS summer school program. Thanks to the warm welcome at the orientation from the very first day, I had an amazing experience," adding, "I hope to make unforgettable memories at Dong-A University and make many friends."
