Earlier, Snoop Dogg signed a contract with NBC to provide various content and commentary during the Paris Olympics. If he works for 16 days during the Olympics, Snoop Dogg could earn $8 million (approximately 11 billion KRW). Besides commentary, Snoop Dogg appeared at the equestrian venue wearing riding clothes and provided various attractions such as receiving swimming lessons from Michael Phelps.
He also participated in the final torch relay held before the Olympic opening ceremony. On the 6th, he performed at the Olympic basketball celebration event. Due to this influence, NBC's viewership on the 5th reached 35.4 million. This is more than double the number of viewers on the same day during the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. With high ratings, Snoop Dogg is expected to receive a ratings bonus. German media Bild, citing NBC staff, reported that the contract with Snoop Dogg includes a ratings bonus clause, so Snoop Dogg could earn up to $15 million (approximately 20.6 billion KRW).
Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg, called the godfather of hip hop, emerged like a comet in the 1990s. He left behind numerous hit albums such as Drop It Like It's Hot, I Wanna Love You, and California Gurls, and has also appeared in various films.
