All Students and Professors from Dong-eui Institute of Technology Department of Electrical Engineering Pass EPLAN International Certification Exam

All examinees, including students from the same department and professors, passed the international certification exam.


The Department of Electrical Engineering (Head: Lee Sanghun) at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology (President: Kim Youngdo) announced on the 8th that all students (13 enrolled students) who completed the customized training program "Electrical Design Using EPLAN Program" have obtained the EPLAN international certification exams ECS (EPLAN Certified Student) and ECT (EPLAN Certified Technician).


This training program was conducted for six partner and affiliated companies participating in the LINC 3.0 project’s customized training. The EPLAN program is an electrical equipment and wiring design software developed according to IEC international electrical standards.


Additionally, based on 30 years of field know-how, it provides an electrical design solution optimized for the design environment, recognized for its professionalism and convenience, and has established itself as the global standard design solution in the worldwide ECAE field as a CAE program.

The EPLAN program is increasingly being adopted by major domestic and international companies, leading to the implementation of the EPLAN international certification exams. All exams are administered and verified by CCEC in Germany, which also creates the exam questions.


In response to this trend, the Department of Electrical Engineering at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology provided the "Electrical Design Using EPLAN Program" training program to help students master the fundamentals of electrical design, including understanding EPLAN concepts and essential functions, as well as the ability to interpret drawings and develop the skills of field designers.


To further maximize educational outcomes, after completing the program, all 13 enrolled students took the ECS certification exam administered by CCEC in Germany and passed. Additionally, during the training period, two full-time professors from related majors participated in the program and, after completion, took the ECT exam and both passed.


Through this training program, participating students have significantly enhanced their employment competitiveness by obtaining the ECS certificate, officially recognized in Germany, in a domestic environment where there is a shortage of EPLAN program design professionals.


The Department of Electrical Engineering at this university now has two professional instructors who hold the ECT, which certifies them as education experts for EPLAN training from a German certification body.


First-year student Yeo Intae from the Department of Electrical Engineering said, "It was not easy to attend the training during the vacation, but I feel rewarded to have become more of a specialist in the electrical field through EPLAN, a next-generation electrical design program."


Department head Lee Sanghun said, "With this training program as a starting point, we have been able to expand into specialized fields of equipment and automation electrical design through EPLAN," adding, "We have also secured EPLAN professional instructors with ECT certification to supply EPLAN program design engineers, which are rapidly being adopted by major companies."
