Cheonan City Conducts Joint Public-Private Crackdown on Harmful Environments for Youth

Inspection of Cheonan Seobuk and Dongnam Police Stations and Sinbang Library

Cheonan City in Chungnam conducted joint inspections and crackdowns with public and private sectors to prevent delinquent behavior among teenagers during the summer vacation and holiday season.

The city, together with Cheonan Seobuk and Dongnam Police Stations and the Youth Harmful Environment Monitoring Group, inspected areas around Konyang University and Sinbang Library on two occasions?on the 30th of last month and the 6th of this month?focusing on environments harmful to youth.

The inspection team patrolled youth-harmful businesses and crime-prone areas near Sinbang Library to prevent behaviors such as underage drinking, smoking, and co-ed overnight stays. They also visited youth curfew zones near Cheonan Dongnam Police Station and Cheonan Station to carry out youth guidance and protection activities.

A city official stated, "We will continue to patrol areas where youth delinquency frequently occurs and districts with a high concentration of harmful businesses, striving to foster a healthy social atmosphere by raising awareness about youth protection."
