Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do, is attracting attention by receiving the top prize in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's rapid execution evaluation for the first half of 2024, securing a financial incentive of 100 million won.
According to the county on the 8th, since 2022, it has achieved the distinction of being selected as the best local government in the local finance execution evaluation for five consecutive times. In the first half of this year, it executed 324.5 billion won out of the 517.4 billion won subject to rapid execution, achieving an execution rate of 62.7%.
In particular, in the consumption and investment sectors, it exceeded the target amount of 115.1 billion won by executing 143.7 billion won, promoting regional economic revitalization with a high execution rate of 124.8%.
Judging that the public sector must play a leading role in revitalizing the regional economy, the county has made efforts such as holding regular rapid execution inspection forums to systematically manage the execution status.
Thanks to these efforts, it has demonstrated exemplary management by ranking first among counties nationwide for two consecutive years.
County Governor Myeong Hyeon-gwan stated, “We will provide benefits that residents can tangibly feel through systematic financial execution of major projects,” and added, “We will contribute to regional economic revitalization through active local finance execution in the second half of the year as well.”
