Gangseo-gu, 10 Consecutive Years of S Grade in Government Joint Evaluation

High Evaluation in Employment Support Services and Senior Job Target Achievement Rate

Gangseo-gu, 10 Consecutive Years of S Grade in Government Joint Evaluation View of Gangseo District Office.

Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) announced on the 8th that it received the highest grade, "S grade," in the "2024 Government Joint Evaluation," setting a record of maintaining the highest grade every year for the past 10 years.

The "Government Joint Evaluation" is a system in which the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and central administrative agencies evaluate the performance of major national policy projects carried out over the year in 17 metropolitan cities and provinces. Based on the evaluation results from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Seoul evaluated the performance of 25 autonomous districts with grades S, A, and B according to the achievement of quantitative indicators and efforts for evaluation preparation.

Gangseo-gu achieved 41 out of 44 quantitative indicator targets (93.2%), including the activation of proactive administration and public childcare utilization rates. In particular, it achieved good results in areas closely related to residents' daily lives, such as ▲employment support service achievement rate ▲community settlement support activities for North Korean defectors ▲achievement rate of senior citizen job targets ▲community dementia management rate.

In the effort for evaluation preparation category, it received high marks for holding progress report meetings chaired by the deputy district mayor, capacity-building training for indicator managers, and establishing evaluation preparation plans. With this award, the district will receive a financial incentive of 26 million KRW from Seoul City.

District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, "Maintaining the S grade for 10 consecutive years is a recognition of Gangseo-gu's administrative capabilities," and added, "This achievement is thanks to the dedication of the staff and the trust of the residents."
