3x Growth Compared to Same Period Last Year... "Continuing the Profit Trend"
IT startup TeamSparta announced on the 8th that it recorded sales of 29.7 billion KRW and an operating profit of 6.5 billion KRW in the first half of this year. Sales surged by 137.6% compared to the first half of last year, bringing the company close to its annual sales target of 50 billion KRW for this year.
TeamSparta's growth was driven by strengthening its business in line with diversified IT education demands such as digital transformation (DX) centered on government and enterprises, and artificial intelligence (AI), starting with online coding education. They explained that continuous curriculum innovation and AI adoption have led to steady growth.
TeamSparta's new business is also expected to gain momentum. In July, TeamSparta acquired 'WePlanet,' which has extensive experience in mobile and web service development. Through this, they plan to significantly enhance the feasibility of outsourced development projects. The in-house game studio 'RocketdanGames' is also accelerating its game development business. RocketdanGames released nine beta version games through the Google Play Store in the first half of this year alone and is preparing for an official launch in the second half.
Beomgyu Lee, CEO of TeamSparta, said, “TeamSparta is pioneering new paths that typical education companies have not taken, realizing the infinite potential of the education industry in various business forms, which is proven by our quarterly performance. Going forward, all employees will do their best in their respective positions to become the IT consortium ‘TeamSparta’ that the domestic and international industries are collectively paying attention to.”
