Increasing Need for Education Due to Rise in Single-Person Youth Households
Conducted Through Various Methods from Online Education to Field Visits
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) is implementing the 'Youth Housing Guide Education' to support the housing stability of young people.
This education program was prepared in response to the recent increase in single-person youth households and the need for housing policy education and counseling.
The Youth Housing Guide Education consists of essential topics for choosing a residence, including ▲housing lease contracts ▲prevention of jeonse fraud ▲housing policies for youth ▲location analysis methods. Group consulting sessions in the form of roundtable meetings will be held six times in total, inviting housing experts as lecturers, followed by on-site inspections with local licensed real estate agents.
The Youth Housing Guide was first implemented last year targeting about 50 young people aged 19 to 34. Participants showed high satisfaction, and in response to requests for expanding participation and adding new programs, the education target will be expanded from August, and group education (a mix of online and face-to-face classes) will be added.
The 2024 Jungnang Youth Housing Guide will recruit 120 participants for housing lectures (60 per session), 90 for group consulting (15 per session), and 60 for on-site inspections (15 per session), allowing up to 300 people to participate.
Especially this year, all attendees will be provided with free access to online lectures available until the end of this year. Applications can be made by scanning the QR code at the bottom of the Youth Housing Guide project poster on the Jungnang-gu Office website and filling out the Google form.
Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “Many young people are struggling with housing issues, and I hope this education will help stabilize their housing situation,” adding, “We will continue to promote various policies to improve youth housing welfare.”
