Korean table tennis failed to surpass China and ended its challenge in the men's team quarterfinals at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The Korean men's team, composed of Jang Woojin (sponsored by SeAH), Lim Jonghoon (Korea Exchange), and Cho Daeseong (Samsung Life), suffered a 0-3 match score defeat to China in the men's team quarterfinals held on the 7th at the South Paris Arena in France.
Korean table tennis aimed for a medal in this event for the first time in 12 years since winning the silver medal at the 2012 London Games but fell short of the goal.

Since the men's team event was first introduced at the 2008 Beijing Games (bronze medal) through the 2021 Tokyo Games (4th place), Korea has always reached the semifinals in this event. However, this time, they could not overcome the worst draw of meeting the 'strongest' China early in the quarterfinals.
The men's team has completed all their matches in this tournament.
The men's team achieved a mixed doubles bronze medal with Lim Jonghoon partnering Shin Yubin (Korean Air).
In men's singles, Jang Woojin advanced to the quarterfinals, while Cho Daeseong was eliminated in the first round of 64.
The women's team, having reached the semifinals in the women's team event, will compete for a spot in the final against the winner of the China-Taiwan match at 10 PM Korea time on the 8th.
