6480 Won per Pack... Not a Short-Term Event but Regular Sale
Secured 1 Million Chickens... 7 Months of Pre-Planning
Emart announced on the 8th that it will launch 'Amazing Perfect Chicken,' priced at 6,480 KRW per pack, on the 9th.
Emart planned the pricing of Amazing Perfect Chicken not as a limited-time promotional event but as a year-round offering. This is aimed at stabilizing grocery prices and strengthening core business competitiveness. As a result, customers can enjoy Amazing Perfect Chicken at 6,480 KRW anytime without any time restrictions.

Along with the affordable price, attention was also paid to the taste of the chicken. The chicken used is domestic No. 8 chicken, and a secret powder (rice flour and 15 kinds of spices) developed by Peacock's secret laboratory was used to enhance the crispy texture and flavor of the chicken. Additionally, considering that chicken from large marts is not eaten immediately after purchase, unlike regular delivery chicken, the recipe was designed so that crispiness is restored by cooking it in an air fryer at 190 degrees Celsius for 5 minutes.
The secret to Amazing Perfect Chicken’s low price lies in seven months of pre-planning and bulk purchasing of raw materials. Emart conducted pre-planning about seven months in advance, including volume planning, recipe development, logistics structure, and taste testing for this product. Furthermore, it proactively established a bulk purchasing structure by contracting for over one million chickens to be used as raw chicken meat during the five months after launch (August to December).
Emart is introducing Amazing Perfect Chicken due to the increasing demand for so-called 'mart chicken' amid continued high inflation. According to Emart, the sales growth rate of chicken products compared to the same period last year was 43.8% last year and 15% from January to July this year. In particular, Saengsaeng Chicken, priced at 9,980 KRW per pack, sold over 2.5 million packs over 22 months (from October 2022 to July 2024).
Emart expects Amazing Perfect Chicken to contribute to stabilizing grocery prices. Shin Jung-ho, Emart’s chicken category buyer, said, "At a time when the price of chicken, a popular snack, is rising, Emart is launching Amazing Perfect Chicken, which captures both taste and price, to delight customers’ wallets and palates," adding, "Going forward, Emart will continue to release high-quality deli products to reduce customers’ grocery price burdens and explore various ways to surpass dining out in taste."
