As the heatwave continues day after day, Cheonan City in Chungnam Province has conducted an emergency inspection to protect vulnerable groups and ensure safe water activities.


On the 7th, Cheonan Deputy Mayor Kim Seokpil visited the Buldang Senior Center, which is being operated as a cooling shelter, to check the operation status of the facility and whether the air conditioning systems were functioning, as a heatwave warning has been in effect in the Cheonan area for 14 consecutive days.


He also visited the water activity management area in Gwangdeok-myeon to inspect the management status of safety facilities and equipment, as well as to identify any potential hazards on site.


Deputy Mayor Kim Seokpil said, "We will do our utmost to protect citizens who are vulnerable to the heatwave and focus on managing at-risk facilities," adding, "We ask all citizens to follow the health guidelines for preventing heat-related illnesses."
