Musk Backs Trump... "Major Interview on the 12th"

Donald Trump, former U.S. president and Republican presidential candidate, will have an interview with Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, who has expressed support for him, on the 12th (local time).

On the 6th (local time), former President Trump announced on Truth Social, "I am scheduled to have a major interview with Elon Musk on Monday (the 12th) night," adding, "Details will be disclosed later."

This news was revealed shortly after Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate, announced that she had chosen Tim Walz, governor of Minnesota, as her running mate earlier that morning. It is analyzed as part of a campaign to maintain online buzz ahead of the November presidential election.

The day before, former President Trump invited video game streamer and influencer Adin Ross to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida and conducted an approximately 22-minute interview. Prior to this, during the presidential primary debates, he appeared on non-traditional platforms by interviewing former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, showing efforts to expand his influence beyond traditional broadcasters.

The interview with CEO Musk, scheduled for next week, is expected to take place through the social networking service X (formerly Twitter), which Musk owns. Previously, Musk conducted interviews in this manner during the Republican primary process, including one with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Musk, a global billionaire and owner of X (formerly Twitter), had criticized former President Trump in the past but later became a supporter. Last month, when former President Trump was shot during a campaign event, Musk officially declared, "I fully support President Trump." However, Musk has not publicly commented on the interview announced by former President Trump on this day.

Meanwhile, America PAC, a super PAC supporting former President Trump and backed by CEO Musk, is currently under investigation by the state of Michigan for reasons including personal information collection.
