Blood Alcohol Concentration, License Cancellation Level
Min Yoon-gi (stage name Suga, age 31) of the group BTS was investigated by the police after falling while riding an electric scooter under the influence of alcohol.
The Yongsan Police Station in Seoul announced on the 7th that Suga was booked and investigated on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving).
According to the police, Suga was found lying on the ground after falling off an electric scooter while intoxicated on the night before in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
Police officers nearby went to assist Suga and detected the smell of alcohol, leading to his transfer to a nearby police station.
The breathalyzer test confirmed that his blood alcohol concentration was at the level warranting license cancellation (0.08% or higher).
Suga enlisted in March for basic military training at the Nonsan training center in Chungnam and is currently serving as a social service agent. His discharge date is scheduled for June 2025.
