Ready for a Trip to Yeongju... Set Off with Just a Map in Hand

Yeongju City Produces and Distributes Map for SRT Magazine's 'One Ticket Trip'

Yeongju City in North Gyeongsang Province, in collaboration with SRT Magazine, has produced and distributed the "One-Page Travel" map, which is a reliable companion when preparing for a trip and a great way to reminisce after returning.

SRT Magazine is a publication available on Suseo-originating high-speed trains (SRT), and since 2022, it has been planning and publishing the "One-Page Travel" map.

The "One-Page Travel" map is an A3-sized map containing travel information along with large illustrations, and can be folded to fit in one hand for easy carrying. Any train passenger can take and use the map for free.

The map divides Yeongju into the northern, downtown, and southern areas, featuring local attractions illustrated so that it can also be kept as a travel souvenir.

The northern area introduces major tourist destinations such as Sosuseowon and Buseoksa, both UNESCO World Heritage sites, Seonbichon and Seonbisesang, which reflect the spirit of scholars, as well as the Soybean World Science Museum and Sunheung Reservoir. Accommodation facilities such as Sobaeksan Ecological Exploration Center, National Forest Healing Center, and the Traditional Fermentation Experience Village, where travelers can stay overnight, are also included.

In the downtown area, places that reflect Yeongju's history and culture, such as Gwansagol, the Modern History and Culture Street, and local food streets, are introduced. In the southern area, tourist spots like Yeongjuho Tourism District and Museom Village, where visitors can heal their body and mind in nature, are featured.

Mayor Park Namseo said, "The One-Page Travel map presents the region's excellent tourist resources in a design favored by the MZ generation. We will continue to put more effort into developing tourist attractions and revitalizing content so that Yeongju can become Korea's leading stay-type tourist destination."

A total of 46,000 copies of the Yeongju "One-Page Travel" map have been published. 45,000 copies are available inside the train cars, and 1,000 copies are placed at the Yeongju City Tourist Information Center and major tourist attractions for visitors to freely use.
