B큐AI Expands Global Data Business... "Overseas Data Centers Fully Operational"

BQ AI has established its first overseas base in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and is strengthening its capabilities in the artificial intelligence (AI) business sector.

BQ AI announced on the 7th that it recently completed and began operating an overseas data center, which it has been preparing since early this year to actively expand its global data business, including the AI sector.

Vietnam is characterized by a high economic growth rate and an abundance of young developers with excellent development skills. In addition, the cost of operating infrastructure is competitive compared to other countries. As a result, not only domestic large corporations but also global big tech companies have recently been actively establishing local subsidiaries and data centers in Vietnam.

BQ AI plans to expand its global network centered on its Vietnam subsidiary and achieve high efficiency in data preprocessing tasks. The company expects that, with the increased scale, it will be able to expand its data preprocessing business beyond the existing news sector to more diverse areas.

A BQ AI representative explained, “Since this year, we have been working on securing and strengthening pipelines for various sectors’ text, video, photo, and image data, including overseas news, books, papers, and legal documents by country, to expand our global data business. We plan to achieve additional growth through this.”

Earlier, BQ AI held a board meeting earlier this year to establish its local subsidiary in Vietnam and handled related agenda items. As generative AI rapidly advances, the demand for refined data has significantly increased, making it necessary to operate a separate specialized data preprocessing center to handle this.

BQ AI refines and processes raw data collected from various media such as news into forms that generative AI can learn from and supplies it to demand sources. Its main platform, ‘RDPLINE (Real-time Data PipeLine),’ has also been supplied to domestic large corporations conducting AI businesses, including Samsung Electronics, KT, SK Telecom, and LG.

A company representative emphasized, “The establishment of the Vietnam subsidiary is very meaningful as it publicly signals the company’s determination to make a full-fledged leap from a ‘local player’ to a ‘global player.’ The Vietnam data preprocessing center will be able to process a larger volume of data more efficiently compared to existing domestic facilities.”

They added, “Currently, the Vietnam data preprocessing center was officially established last month, and we are continuing to recruit personnel and invest to stabilize operations.”
