Google to Launch 'AI Startup School with Busan City' on the 30th Guide to AI Startup School in Busan City with Google.

'Startup School' is Google for Startups' flagship program for startups, designed as a participatory educational program to support entrepreneurial activities based on entrepreneurial spirit.

Along with lectures by expert speakers and Google employees, the program provides solutions to situations encountered in startup operations, based on real startup case studies.

This year, under the program 'AI Startup School with Busan City,' it will be held at the Busan Eurasia Platform once a week for a total of six sessions from August 30 to October 4.

The lectures will be delivered by Monica Kang, founder of InnovatorBox (three sessions), Google employees (two sessions), and a CEO of an AI-based startup (one session). The program will strengthen AI-related education by offering professional lectures and live Q&A sessions, focusing on deepening insights for AI-based startups.

Applications for the program will be accepted on the official website starting from the 7th, and on-site registration will also be available on the day of each session.

Notably, unlike last year when only in-person education was offered, this year the program will also be broadcast live online through the city's official channel 'BusanTube,' providing opportunities for prospective entrepreneurs and startups in nearby regions such as Ulsan and Gyeongnam to participate.

Additionally, those who complete the in-person program will receive benefits such as preferential consideration in some of Busan City's 2025 startup support programs and investment recommendations, supporting the practical growth of prospective and early-stage entrepreneurs.

The 'Startup Support Programs' include the 2025 Busan City Technology Startup Incubation Support Program, the 2025 Busan Startup Idea Competition, and the TIOOM co-working space.

Prior to the full-scale operation of this year's program, a launch event will be held at 4:30 p.m. on August 30 at the Busan Eurasia Platform, attended by over 120 participants including Mayor Park Hyungjun and Kim Kyunghoon, President of Google Korea, to celebrate the start of the program.

Mike Kim, Head of Google Startup Campus Asia Pacific, will introduce the program, and a plaque of appreciation in the name of the Mayor of Busan will be presented to Google Korea for its leadership in developing the local startup ecosystem.

Lee Joonseung, Deputy Mayor for Administrative Affairs, stated, "This year, Google's 'Startup School,' which began in Busan last year, will expand to neighboring areas such as Ulsan and Gyeongnam. By strengthening follow-up support through connections with startup support programs, it will become a flagship initiative that provides practical help to entrepreneurs. We will further strengthen collaborations with global companies and major corporations to ensure that outstanding private sector capabilities drive the development of the local startup ecosystem."

Google's 'Startup School' was first launched in Busan in April 2023, the first in the country, with a total of 1,523 participants in the program.
