Sehwa Art Museum is opening its exhibition for free to office workers exhausted by the heatwave.

Sehwa Art Museum announced on the 7th that it will open the exhibition "James Rosenquist: Universe" for free to office workers working at companies near Gwanghwamun every Thursday during lunchtime.


The free viewing hours are every Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visitors can enter for free by presenting their business cards at the museum information desk. A special docent tour is also scheduled at 12:30 p.m. for office workers visiting during this time. The free viewing event for office workers will continue until the 29th of next month.


Visitors can enjoy a 10% discount on all menu items at four restaurants and cafes inside the Heungkuk Life Insurance Building in Gwanghwamun. The independent and art cinema Cinecube also offers a 1,000 KRW discount on movie tickets to visitors who present a free admission ticket to the exhibition.


James Rosenquist is recognized as a world-renowned artist who led American pop art alongside Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. This exhibition comprehensively covers paintings, collages, and archival materials created by the artist from the 1960s to the 2010s.


Visitors who post a verification photo of their exhibition visit on social networking services (SNS) can receive an exhibition poster on a first-come, first-served basis.


Sehwa Art Museum is based on the Sehwa Arts and Culture Foundation established by the Taekwang Group in 2009. The museum's planned exhibition hall is located on the 3rd floor of the Heungkuk Life Insurance Building in Gwanghwamun.


Seo Hye-ok, director of Sehwa Art Museum, said, "We hope that through this event, Sehwa Art Museum will establish itself as a representative cultural and artistic summer retreat in Gwanghwamun," adding, "We will continue to promote programs that citizens can widely enjoy."
