Audi has launched the 2024 model of its mid-size sedan, the A6. Various convenience features have been added, including a function that prevents the car door from opening when an object is detected behind the vehicle.
On the 7th, Audi Korea announced that the updated A6 model will be available in 40 TDI and 45 TFSI base, Premium, and Quattro Premium trims.
Both the base and Premium trims of the 'Audi A6 40 TDI' are equipped with a 2.0L inline 4-cylinder diesel direct injection turbocharged (TDI) engine and a 7-speed S tronic transmission (dual clutch). The maximum output is 204 horsepower, and the maximum torque is 40.79 kgf·m. The top speed is 246 km/h (speed limited for safety), and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 7.9 seconds for both base and Premium trims. Fuel efficiency is 15.0 km/l based on combined mileage for both trims.
The 'Audi A6 45 TFSI' base, Premium, and Quattro Premium trims are all equipped with a 2.0L inline 4-cylinder gasoline direct injection turbocharged (TFSI) engine and a 7-speed S tronic transmission. They deliver a maximum output of 265 horsepower and a maximum torque of 37.7 kgf·m. The top speed is 210 km/h (speed limited for safety). Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 6.8 seconds for the base and Premium trims, and 6.0 seconds for the Quattro Premium trim. Fuel efficiency based on combined mileage is 11.0 km/l for the base and Premium trims, and 10.7 km/l for the Quattro Premium.
The base trim features matrix LED headlights, while the Premium and Quattro Premium models are equipped with 'HD matrix LED headlights.' These are arranged more densely with higher brightness than regular LEDs, resulting in a wider visible range.
Convenience features have also been added. All models include two rear radar sensors that detect fast-approaching objects or vehicles from behind, activating the side mirror and door LED indicators and temporarily preventing the door from opening as part of the exit warning system. A head-up display (HUD) is installed on the driver's front windshield, and adaptive cruise assist is also included.
The 'Audi Smartphone Interface' is installed, allowing approved smartphone content to be accessed directly via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto interfaces independently from the navigation system. Other features include ▲voice recognition voice control ▲wireless charging ▲Audi Music Interface (AMI) ▲premium air package.
Prices including VAT range from 71 million to 78.1 million KRW for the 40 TDI model, and from 72.4 million to 82.5 million KRW for the 45 TFSI model. Purchases through official dealers come with a 5-year or up to 150,000 km warranty. Starting with customers purchasing the 2024 model, a total of six one-way pickup and delivery services over three years will be additionally provided with the consumables maintenance coupon CSP (Car Service Plus).
