On the 1st, Sahmyook University held the "2024 Paran Sadari Performance Report Meeting" and made this announcement. This program was designed to provide overseas training experiences to university students from economically and socially vulnerable groups.

Paran Sadari is a program that offers opportunities for developing global competencies and exploring career paths, supported by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Student Aid Foundation. Sahmyook University has been selected as the operating institution since the program's inception in 2018.

This year, Sahmyook University selected 60 university students, including 9 students from other universities, and dispatched them to Toronto Metropolitan University in Canada and Victoria University in Sydney, Australia. The selected students completed intensive pre-training on campus and then participated in the program for four weeks starting early July, engaging in language training, career exploration, cultural exploration, and team projects at the training sites.

O Chaeyoon, a student in the Department of English Language and Literature, said, "Interacting with people from different changes and backgrounds was a great stimulus that allowed me to have a broader perspective," adding, "The valuable experiences and lessons gained through this training will be a greater foundation for my future journey."

After the training, Sahmyook University plans to provide individual mentoring and career guidance, and will offer priority selection opportunities to graduates by linking with the overseas employment training program (K-Move).

Jung Sungjin, head of the University Job Center at Sahmyook University, said, "I hope that based on confidence in English, overseas experience, and the good connections made during the training, students will grow further and have more dreams and visions."
