[Breaking] Coupang Reports Operating Loss of 34.2 Billion KRW in Q2... Sales Surpass 10 Trillion KRW

Coupang Inc. announced on the 7th that it recorded an operating loss of 34.2 billion KRW in the second quarter of this year. This marks the first quarterly loss in eight quarters since its first quarterly operating profit in the third quarter of 2022.

Revenue reached 10.0357 trillion KRW (7.323 billion USD), a 30% increase compared to 5.83788 billion USD last year. This is the first time quarterly revenue has exceeded 10 trillion KRW.

Net loss for the period was 143.8 billion KRW (105 million USD), turning to a loss. Coupang posted a net profit of 24 million USD (approximately 31.9 billion KRW) in the second quarter of last year.
