On the 6th (local time), at the 2024 Paris Olympic diving women's 10m platform final held at the Aquatic Center in Paris, France, she ranked 3rd with a total score of 372.10 points from the 1st to 5th rounds. This is her second medal after winning the silver medal in the women's synchronized 10m platform final with Jo Jinmi on the 31st of last month. Kim Mirae brought North Korea its first Olympic medal in diving history and also earned the honor of becoming North Korea's first Olympic individual event medalist in diving.


In the 1st round, Kim Mirae performed a difficult dive (6243D) with a difficulty of 3.2, entering the water while standing on her hands and twisting one and a half times, earning 80.00 points and starting in 3rd place. She maintained the 3rd place position thereafter, and after the 5th round, she shed tears of joy, confident of winning the bronze medal.


With Kim Mirae adding a bronze medal, the total number of medals for the North Korean team at the Paris Olympics increased to four. North Korea won medals in mixed doubles table tennis (Lee Jeongsik-Kim Geumyoung silver), women's synchronized 10m platform diving (Kim Mirae-Jo Jinmi silver), women's 54kg boxing (Bang Cheolmi bronze), and women's 10m platform diving (Kim Mirae bronze).


The gold and silver medals in the women's 10m platform individual event were shared by China's Quan Hongchan and Chen Yuxi, who had also won the synchronized event. Quan Hongchan took 1st place with a total score of 425.60 points, and Chen Yuxi placed 2nd with a total score of 420.70 points. Quan Hongchan achieved back-to-back victories in this event following the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. China has recorded five consecutive wins in the women's 10m platform from the 2008 Beijing Games through Paris.
