For the safety and health of local residents, Gyeongnam Bank operates all branches as heat shelters
BNK Gyeongnam Bank and the city of Gimhae have joined forces to specially organize a "Summer Heat Relief Event" to protect citizens and local residents from the scorching heat.
On the 6th, BNK Gyeongnam Bank signed a "Heat Shelter Business Agreement" with Gimhae City and carried out the "BNK Gyeongnam Bank Love Special Meal" event.
Executive Director Kim Yangsook visited Gimhae City Hall in the morning and held a "Heat Shelter Business Agreement Ceremony" with Mayor Hong Taeyong.
According to the agreement, BNK Gyeongnam Bank will designate all its branches in the Gimhae area as shelter locations to protect citizens from the heat and will provide bottled water free of charge.
Gimhae City will distribute shelter guide signs and be responsible for promoting the operation of the shelters.
Kim, Executive Director of the Eastern Business Division, stated, "We have organized the Summer Heat Relief Event, holding both the heat shelter business agreement ceremony and the Love Special Meal at the same time for the health and happiness of Gimhae citizens. I hope everyone can overcome the hot summer and spend it energetically. We will continue to promote various social contribution projects for Gimhae City and its citizens in the future."
After the heat shelter agreement ceremony, the "BNK Gyeongnam Bank Love Special Meal" event was held at the Gimhae City Eastern Senior Welfare Center.
About 10 people, including Executive Director Kim, employees, and Hong Taeyong's spouse Kim Minseo, participated in the Love Special Meal event.
Volunteers served samgyetang and other dishes to about 500 seniors and people with disabilities who visited the Gimhae City Eastern Senior Welfare Center.
Meanwhile, BNK Gyeongnam Bank is operating all its branches, including those in the Gimhae area, as heat shelters to ensure the safety and health of local residents and customers.
The heat shelters are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays during bank business hours, allowing local residents and customers to freely rest and escape the heat.
In particular, bottled water will be provided free of charge to local residents and customers visiting the heat shelters to help them cool off.
