Suwon City, Human Rights Violation Survey of Social Welfare Facility Workers and Others Suwon City Hall

The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province is conducting a human rights violation survey targeting workers at social welfare facilities within the city, Suwon city public employees, security guards, and environmental workers.


This survey will be conducted until September 30th, targeting a total of 1,459 people, including 407 employees from 13 social welfare facilities and 1,052 general public employees, security guards, and environmental workers of Suwon city. The survey will be conducted through one-on-one interviews.


The survey items include ▲general human rights ▲special civil complaint damages, client (service recipient) violence ▲workplace power harassment ▲workplace sexual harassment and sexual violence damages.


This is the second survey of social welfare facility workers following the one conducted in 2021. As a triennial survey, it will check the measures taken on issues identified three years ago and seek future response plans. The human rights violation survey for public employees, security guards, and environmental workers is being conducted for the first time this year.


The Suwon Human Rights Center will inform the survey participants about the human rights violation relief procedures of the Human Rights Center, and for respondents whose damage is confirmed, relief procedures will be carried out.


A Suwon city official stated, "The Suwon Human Rights Center not only proceeds with relief procedures for individuals who have suffered human rights violations but also continuously strives to establish systems and policies to improve organizational culture. Based on the results of this survey, we will recognize and respond to human rights violation issues not as individual problems but as organizational problems."
