3-Day 2024 Early Admission University Information Fair to Be Held
Advance Reservation Required, Detailed 1:1 Consultations with Admissions Officers Available
Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Ilpyeong Lee) announced on the 3rd that it successfully completed the '2025 Academic Year Early Admission University Information Fair' held at the multipurpose auditorium on the 2nd floor of the Dongdaemun-gu Office.
This fair, attended by admissions officers from various universities, was organized to provide more accurate information to examinees and parents preparing for the 2025 academic year early admission process.
The event was attended by admissions officials (30 people) from 19 universities (Gachon University, Kyonggi University, Kyung Hee University, Korea University Sejong Campus, Myongji University, Sangmyung University, Sogang University, Seoul National University of Science and Technology, University of Seoul, Sungkyunkwan University, Sungshin Women’s University, Semyung University, Sejong University, Yonsei University Mirae Campus, Ajou University, Inha University, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Hansung University, Hongik University), and 120 teams of examinees and parents (about 300 people).
The fair was operated by prior reservation, and each university admissions officer held 1:1 admission counseling sessions lasting 20 minutes.
A parent who attended the fair said, “Compared to the early admission fair hosted by the Korea Council for University Education (KCUE), I was able to receive more detailed and accurate counseling. It was good that personalized counseling was conducted for each individual during the sufficient 20-minute session after filling out the pre-consultation card in advance.”
Ilpyeong Lee, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, said, “We adjusted the schedule to supplement parts missed in the existing early admission fairs and worked hard to encourage participation from a wider variety of universities. I hope this fair becomes an opportunity for universities to attract talented students and provides practical help to residents preparing for university entrance.”
The Dongdaemun Education Support Center has been providing tailored explanatory sessions by admission type and level, starting with a special lecture in April titled ‘Understanding and Preparing for the 2025 Academic Year University Admission Process and Analysis of the March Mock Exam,’ followed by the ‘2025 Academic Year Early Admission Grade-based Admission Explanation Session’ in June.
In December, a ‘2025 Academic Year Regular Admission Support Strategy Special Lecture’ will be held for examinees who have taken the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT). Especially this year, a new ‘MMI (Multiple Mini Interview) Program’ will be operated for students preparing for interviews in the 2025 academic year early admission process.
