In Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do, a report of suspected child abuse at an infant care center has been received, prompting the police and Jeonju city officials to launch an investigation.
On the 5th, 'Yonhap News' reported that last month, the A infant care center in Jeonju reported to the police that a caregiver working there was suspected of abusing a child.
However, it has been confirmed that the caregiver suspected of abuse is no longer working at the infant care center. This center is known to care for children under the age of six.
Jeonju city and the police have secured internal closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the infant care center to ascertain the specific circumstances of the incident. They also plan to summon the caregiver and others involved for questioning soon.
