Nam-pyo Hong, the mayor of Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam, attended the '50th Anniversary Ceremony' held at Dae Bulbojeon of Haejangsa Temple and congratulated the temple on its founding anniversary.

Haejangsa Temple is a major temple representing the Cheontae Order in our region and has greatly contributed to the harmony and development of the local community.
According to the Buddhist community, Haejangsa Temple is recognized as a temple that diligently fulfills its mission to save all beings and embodies the spirit of openness, inclusiveness, and grand unity that should truly be pursued.
On this day, about 500 people, including Mayor Hong and members of the provincial and city councils, attended the ceremony to celebrate the founding of the temple.
Mayor Hong stated, "I hope this founding ceremony will serve as an opportunity to move forward into another century based on history and tradition. Changwon City will also strive to become a beacon that brightens our society, so that Buddha's message of compassion and peace can be widely spread to every corner of our region."
