Icheon City and Logistics Industry Sign 'Fire Accident Prevention Business Agreement'

Participation of 5 Locations Including Dongwon Loex

On the 5th, Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province and the Icheon Fire Station announced that they signed a business agreement with local logistics warehouse companies to prevent fire accidents, with the attendance of Kim Kyung-hee, Mayor of Icheon, and Cho Cheon-mook, Chief of Icheon Fire Station.

The business agreement included participation from ▲Dongwon Loex Co., Ltd. ▲Bold Nine Co., Ltd. ▲Haedong Logistics Co., Ltd. ▲Lotte Global Logistics Co., Ltd. ▲DPL Co., Ltd.

Previously, the city had signed business agreements with 10 logistics warehouse companies that are either in operation or under construction, and with this new agreement, the number of companies participating in the fire accident prevention agreement has increased to 15.

According to the agreement, the three parties will cooperate to ▲fulfill obligations related to fire safety laws and regulations for logistics warehouses and responsible institutions ▲support education and training to ensure fire safety for the responsible institutions ▲and promote exemplary cases based on the agreement both internally and externally.

Kim Kyung-hee, Mayor of Icheon, stated, "Fire accidents are one of the biggest risk factors in the operation of logistics warehouses," and added, "Through this agreement, we expect to enhance the safety of logistics warehouses and contribute to the safety and development of the local community."
