40,291㎡ Area in Gusi-ri, Daewol-myeon... Completion Scheduled for October 2026
The development project of Daewol 2 General Industrial Complex in Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, which had been delayed for nearly two years, is now getting back on track.
According to Icheon City on the 5th, the city recently approved the complex plan for Daewol 2 General Industrial Complex and will officially announce it on the 7th.
Daewol 2 Industrial Complex is an industrial complex being developed on a 45,291㎡ site in 499-2 Gusi-ri, Daewol-myeon. The city plans to invest about 11 billion KRW and complete the complex by October 2026.
Daewol 2 Industrial Complex is a project promoted as part of Mayor Kim Gyeong-hee’s 8th term pledge to establish a specialized advanced industrial complex for SK Hynix partner companies. Although the original completion target was 2024, the project was delayed for nearly two years.
The main industries to be attracted to the complex, jointly implemented by Icheon City and Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH), include ▲metal fabricated products ▲electronic components ▲computer, video, audio, and communication equipment ▲electrical equipment manufacturing ▲electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply industries.
The complex is evaluated to have excellent accessibility as it is adjacent to SK Hynix and the Icheon IC of Yeongdong Expressway. Opposite the complex is the Daewol General Industrial Complex.
Mayor Kim said, "With the approval of the Daewol 2 Industrial Complex plan, we have created a new turning point for regional economic development," adding, "We will strive to improve the quality of life of local residents through economic development and job creation."
