Realizing Safety in Hamyang through Smart Integrated Platform Development
Hamyang County in Gyeongnam completed the construction of the 'Smart City Safety Network Integrated Platform' in July this year and began full-scale operation in August.
The 'Smart City Safety Network Integrated Platform' project was implemented with 600 million KRW in provincial funds and 600 million KRW in local funds. The project established an integrated operation environment that transmits footage from 1,035 CCTV cameras managed by the Hamyang County CCTV Integrated Control Center to the Metropolitan Operations Center, and also developed specialized services required by Hamyang County.
The integrated platform system provides video transmission services for emergency video and dispatch to the 112 Center, wanted vehicle searches, 119 emergency dispatch, emergency disaster response, and electronic anklet location tracking for the Ministry of Justice.
Additionally, as part of the specialized services, the county plans to utilize dashboards for vehicle license plate searches, control situation boards, disaster situation room video streaming, tourist inflow analysis, CCTV crime mapping, agricultural machinery rollover accident monitoring, and the Open Governor's Office.
In particular, the Open Governor's Office dashboard provides information such as population, disaster occurrences, tourist numbers, agricultural machinery rollovers, and weather conditions, all of which can be checked in real time from the governor's office.
A Hamyang County official stated, "With the establishment of this Smart City Safety Network Integrated Platform, we have been able to significantly advance our urban safety net in areas such as crime and fire prevention and disaster relief. We will continue to improve our services to enhance the quality of life for our residents in a safe and convenient environment."
