The recruitment will cover five subcommittees [▲Economy & Industry (12 members) ▲Culture & Autonomy (12 members) ▲Welfare & Education (12 members) ▲Safety & Environment (12 members) ▲Urban & Development (12 members)], totaling 60 members. Any Yangsan citizen interested in municipal affairs, regardless of age, gender, or occupation, is eligible to apply.

The selection results will be announced on the Yangsan City Hall website in September.

The 2nd Citizen Integration Committee, consisting of 60 publicly recruited citizen members and 40 expert members recommended by the city council, universities, and relevant departments, will begin operation in October.

The Yangsan Citizen Integration Committee, established in October 2022 as a key pledge of the 8th popularly elected mayor of Yangsan, aims to resolve community conflicts and propose policies by gathering diverse opinions on major municipal policies from all walks of life. By the end of June 2024, the committee had proposed 215 items, with 138 of these recommended to Yangsan City as policies.

In addition, as with the first term, the committee plans to continue operating as a working committee that communicates with citizens through regular subcommittee meetings.

Mayor Na Dongyeon stated, "We have newly formed the 2nd committee to better reflect the voices of more citizens in our policies," and added, "We hope many citizens interested in municipal affairs will apply."
