SK C&C Partners with Vietnamese ICT Company to Expand Digital ESG Business Globally

SK C&C announced on the 5th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for global digital ESG business cooperation with FPT IS, a Vietnamese ICT company.


FPT IS is a member company of FPT Corporation, a world-class Vietnamese ICT company established in 1994. It supports digital transformation and provides IT services and solutions to global customers across all industries including public sector, telecommunications, finance, and healthcare. Leading with VertZero, an integrated carbon management and monitoring platform, it has strengths in green transition consulting and technology solutions in Vietnam.

This cooperation was promoted to respond to the increasing ESG demands of customers in various industries in global markets including Korea, Vietnam, and Europe, and to rapidly expand digital ESG business.


The two companies plan to jointly develop an integrated digital ESG offering and service provision system for customers in major regions worldwide. They will mutually share digital ESG solutions and technological capabilities to develop customized digital ESG solutions and services together. Joint marketing activities targeting global customers will also be conducted.


Utilizing the 'Digital Carbon Passport Platform' built by SK C&C, they will cooperate to enable manufacturing companies in Europe to promptly respond to the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) mandatory carbon emission reporting and additional EU carbon management regulations such as Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) and Digital Battery Passport (DBP).


Based on SK C&C’s Net Zero Factory design and construction capabilities, the two companies will also cooperate to enter the Southeast Asian market including Vietnam. The Net Zero Factory aims to achieve carbon neutrality throughout factory operations, including energy consumption, water usage, renewable energy transition, and high-efficiency equipment.


Kim Min-hyuk, head of SK C&C’s Global Business Division, said, "This cooperation provides many opportunities to showcase SK C&C’s digital ESG technological capabilities such as the carbon passport platform not only in Korea and Vietnam but also in Europe and Southeast Asia. By sharing the accumulated experience and expertise of both companies, we will cooperate to help major global manufacturers secure sustainable net zero and ESG capabilities and continuously discover successful cases of global digital ESG."
