Excellent Evaluation in Indicators Closely Related to Residents' Daily Lives
Geumcheon-gu (District Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that it received the highest grade, S grade, for two consecutive years in the '2024 Local Government Joint Evaluation' conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The Local Government Joint Evaluation is a system in which the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, together with related central administrative agencies, evaluates national delegated tasks, national subsidy projects, and major national policies carried out by local governments over the past year.
In this evaluation, among the 25 autonomous districts in Seoul, 8 districts including Geumcheon-gu received the highest grade, S grade. Districts that received the S grade are awarded a prize money of 26 million KRW.
The evaluation targets consist of 45 quantitative indicators and 9 effort items, with grades determined by reflecting 70% quantitative evaluation and 30% effort.
The district achieved 41 out of 45 indicators in the quantitative evaluation, scoring 64.27 points, and received 27.5 points in effort, resulting in a total score of 91.77 points, higher than the district average of 87.21 points.
In particular, it received excellent evaluations in indicators closely related to residents' lives, such as the 'Obesity Prevention Management Project,' 'Family Center Family Services,' 'Performance of Job Projects Supported by Local Government Finance,' and 'Operation Performance of Employment Support Services.'
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, "Being selected for the highest grade in the Local Government Joint Evaluation for two consecutive years is objective evidence that our district is carrying out excellent administration in all aspects of residents' lives," and added, "We will do our best to supplement the areas that were lacking in this evaluation and expand excellent projects and policies."
