Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, Attends 1st Completion Ceremony of Nowon Children's Native English Camp

On the 4th at 2 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, attended the '2024 SUMMER Nowon Children Native English Camp 1st Completion Ceremony' held at the Hong Myung-gi Hall in Yohangwan, Sahmyook University.

The Children Native English Camp was organized to provide quality learning opportunities to nurture global and creative future talents, while also reducing the childcare and private education burdens on parents.

At the completion ceremony, attended by 152 elementary school students participating in the camp, the program proceeded in the order of the national anthem, an encouragement speech by Kim Yong-seon, Vice President of Sahmyook University, a congratulatory address by Mayor Oh Seung-rok, an awards ceremony, and viewing of the camp video.

Meanwhile, the Nowon District Children Native English Camp supports elementary school students in grades 3 to 6 residing in Nowon District by subsidizing 480,000 KRW out of the 920,000 KRW participation fee per student. Students from socially disadvantaged families receive full support from the district.

Mayor Oh Seung-rok said, "Despite the hot weather, I am proud and impressed to see the students safely complete their activities after spending a week apart from their parents," adding, "I would like to thank Sahmyook University once again for their support, and we will do our best to continue offering high-quality English camp programs."
